I’m a CSAIL PhD Student (CV) working with Dr. Peter Szolovits in MEDG. I have worked with Dr. John Guttag at CSAIL, and have clinical collaborations at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Massachusetts General Hospital. During summer 2016 I am worked at Microsoft Research New England on unsupervised disease progression modelling, and this Fall I'm organizing the NIPS 2016 Workshop on Machine Learning for Health.

I’m interested in creating and applying machine learning algorithms towards improved prediction and stratification of relevant human risks. For more information on this idea in general, see my clinical journal paper on the Data Revolution in Critical Care, my AAAI 2015 paper on Severity of Illness Assessment and Forecasting in ICU with Sparse, Heterogeneous Clinical Data, and Kiri Wagstaff’s ICML paper on Machine Learning that Matters,
